NOMAD 2008 is proud to introduce our Artist in Residence Lau Sheow Tong. Lau will be working with AMKSS students to create an art installation in relation to the theme of 1964.
Sheow Tong is an experienced Art and Design educator with an extensive track record in his field of expertise. He is currently lecturing at Temasek Polytechnic (its Design School) and First Media Design School on part-time and consultation basis.
He is the Director and Chief Trainer of Composite Art & Design which runs Trigger Creations – a series of Art workshops for students and teachers from MOE.
Presently, he is also the Artist-in-school for Park View Primary School as supported by National Arts Council (NAC).
As a practicing Artist, he has exhibited his work since 2003. His latest muse is on icons of Luck and Wealth like the Lucky Cat and the Fortune Frog. His latest solo exhibition – Fantasy of Luck was at Utterly Art gallery in January 2008.
He holds a Master in Fine Arts with LaSalle College of the Arts and a Postgrad. Dip. in Education with NIE/NTU.
